Request for three Persian lexemes[edit]

Hello there! Thanks for your additions of Persian/Tajik lexemes! I've a few questions on those later, but first: there are pairs of lexemes (হিকমত (L302158)/हिकमत/حِکمت (L406388)), (হুকুমত (L302057)/हुकूमत/حُکُومَت (L406389)), and (হাওয়া (L302484)/हवा/ہوا (L406391)) in Bengali and Hindustani which derive from Persian words "حکمت", "حکومت", and "هوا" rspectively. I was wondering if you'd be able to create the Persian lexemes for these, so that I can add derived from lexeme (P5191) to the pairs I mentioned pointing to the appropriate Persian lexemes. Thank you for creating those lexemes. Would you mind replying to this message so that in the future we may know that you are actually reading messages addressed to you? Mahir256 (talk) 20:52, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Mahir256, sorry. Yes, I read. --Tokyo Akademia (talk) 11:36, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Questions about Tajik lexemes[edit]

Hi Tokyo Akademia! I have a number of questions regarding the lexemes you have created for Tajik.

On this table, you see that there are a lot of language codes used on Tajik lemmata--the representations at the top of the lexeme--at the moment. This leads me to ask the following, in no particular order:

  • روسیه/Русия/Rusija (L231802) uses tg-latn-x-q159 for the Latin script representation and fa-x-Q159 for the Arabic script one. Is the "-x-q159" part actually necessary? Is that word rendered differently in those scripts in other places?
  • ناحیه‌های تابع جمهوری/Ноҳияҳои тобеи ҷумҳурӣ (L231357) uses tg-x-q633490 for one of its Cyrillic representations. Is the capitalization difference particularly significant in that part of Tajikistan, that it warrants a separate representation?
  • (*) How is the code "fa" on a Tajik lexeme different from "fa" on a Persian lexeme (especially if the two representations are the same)?
  • (*) On a Tajik lexeme, how is tg-x-q84216603 supposed to be different from fa?

The starred questions above lead me to another overarching thought, which I've also addressed to @Ladsgroup::

  • It is often stated in linguistic contexts that Persian and Tajik are two standardized varieties of the same language (much like Hindi and Urdu, or North and South Azerbaijani, or Punjabi as spoken in Pakistan and India). Each of these latter three sets of languages is currently treated as a single language for lexeme handling purposes; would you consider doing the same with respect to Persian and Tajik?

I look forward to your answers. Mahir256 (talk) 22:02, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
