Motivation

Nyoman Kadjeng (1929) is arranged lontar at Gedong Kirtya Museum into seven classifications:

1. Weda consists of : Weda, Mantra and Kalpasastra
2. Agama consists of : Palakerta, Sasana and Niti Sastra
3. Wariga consists of: Wariga (Astrologische warken), Tutur (Onderricht), Kanda, (Handboeken) and Usada
4. Ithihasa consists of : Parwa, Kakawin, Kidung and Geguritan
5. Babad consists of : Pamancangah, History of Kingdom, Usada and Uwug.
6. Tantri consists of: tantri, satwa and surat pangeling-eling
7. Lalampahan

This classification still use on other Museum and right now all the palm leaf manuscript items still use genre on Wikidata.

•  Support - this clasification have used for making easy who clasified balinese palm-manuscript into same category. Beside support Balinese WikiLontar project this clasification also support wikipustaka where places for thousand manuscripts. Thank You Carma citrawati (talk)

@Mahir256: "Genre" is a temporary use and I propose this to improve it, I give an example Gaguritan Nengah Jimbaran, a manuscript about a husband looking for his wife in heaven, is a genre romance, but this classification put it into Itihasa. Then Regulations of Silangjana Village (Q99414108) can't be included in any genre.(talk) 02:45, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
