Motivación[edit]
This database comes from Museo Nacional de la Estampa, a museum based in Mexico City dedicated to the history, preservation and promotion of Mexican graphic arts. The word “estampa” in this context means “engraving” or “printing”. The source of the database was included in Mexicana, a digital centralized repository created by the Secretariat of Culture of Mexico. It contains hundreds of digital items of the cultural public institutions of Mexico such as museums, libraries, archives, television and radio stations that belong to their network.
