I noticed this user mass creating Photographs by John Thomas. The Notability is a bit unclear so I asked the user to please discus this first. Instead of doing that the mass addition continued so I blocked the user to prevent any more damage. If the user agrees to not create any new items pending discussion any admin can unblock (if I don't beat you to it). I'll open a topic at Wikidata:Project chat#Notability of photographs. Q20530417, Q18626583

Hi,
In Estonian Wikipedia, the following articles are marked good articles. Can you update these pages and add the good article sign? The articles are: Tuuru–Puise tee (Q18626583) and Tapa vallutamine (Q20530417).
Also there is another problem: The page https://et.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eri:PagesWithBadges?badge=Q17437798 shows incorrect information: it shows, that in Estonian Wikipedia there are 96 articles marked as good article, but actually there are 125. In Wikidata pages this information is true, but it doesn't show it correctly on the page https://et.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eri:PagesWithBadges?badge=Q17437798.
Best,
Postituvi (talk) 17:02, 6 December 2015 (UTC)

✓ Done Marked as good ones. About the incompletion, if all of those articles really have the badge here in Wikidata, they might require purging on etwiki and/or even on Wikidata. If this doesn't help, this should be reported to the developers. Matěj Suchánek (talk) 18:18, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, now it shows correct information. Postituvi (talk) 16:42, 7 December 2015 (UTC)

Please, could someone protect these items as User:Milicevic01 keeps on merging them saying just «same car!!!!!!» while I keep on explaining why they shouldn't be merged in his talk page? Otherwise could some admins say who's wrong and who's right? Sincerely I'm fed up with keeping on rollbacking his merges. Thank you very much! --★ → Airon 90 21:13, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Fot the last time its a same car, just because they changed the name and added more plastic on it dosent make it different! --Milicevic01 (talk) 21:21, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
Again, for the last time, the items are about two different object with different data (#2 of WD:Notability) and different wikilinks (#1 of WD:Notability). Instead of rollbacking, as I'm really fed up of you and your rollbacks, I wait for an answer from other users. --★ → Airon 90 21:39, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
Moreover, it:Zastava Koral doesn't have an item on Wikidata as you merge Yugo (Q21205906) in Zastava Yugo (Q15781), which has it:Zastava Yugo. I keep on rollbacking. --★ → Airon 90 08:58, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

VladimirZhV

I blocked indefinitely VladimirZhV (talkcontribslogs) for unjustified removal of sitelinks from items. He basically fixed the links to bg.wp, and then just removed all other sitelinks with no apparent reason: this is an example of an item fixed by Ato 01, who didn't wrote to the user by the way. He's been active since three weeks at least doing this. EDIT: he did this basically always, forcing other users to fix his behaviour since months (see this. I'll probably need a help in checking his contribs. --Sannita - not just another it.wiki sysop 21:57, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

I would not choose indef. blocking as their work is indeed valuable (like here), however those removals should not happen. Could someone break the language barrier and explain them what they did wrong and then unblock them? Matěj Suchánek (talk) 13:07, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
It seems odd that the talk page of VladimirZhV (talkcontribslogs) prior to the block is empty. --- Jura 13:34, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
On it.wp we're particularly strong-handed with these cases. However, since this is not it.wp and that there are some good edits, I'm willing to remodulate the block to only three days, two of which already spent, on the condition that unjustified removals will not be tolerated any more. If he does this again, I'll go for another sensitive block (more like three months or so), reserving indefinite as the last occurrence. --Sannita - not just another it.wiki sysop 18:50, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

2003:66:8F2A:1AF6:C557:135:FB9A:7BDC

What to do with 2003:66:8F2A:1AF6:C557:135:FB9A:7BDC (talkcontribslogs)? Users like this really makes patrolling changes harder. Sjoerd de Bruin (talk) 11:18, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

I've been marking a lot of these edits as patrolled because they are factually right. They really ought to be done from an account with a bot flag though. —Tom Morris (talk) 15:51, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
I think this is the same person I spoke to at a different IP some months ago. We had a bit of a discussion, with me telling him about the benefits of being logged in, and he wished to remain anonymous. That's his good right, too! Annoying, yes; but we just have to respect his decision. Jared Preston (talk) 15:59, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
24x7 editing for days and days without the need to eat, sleep or go to the toilet? No mistakes at all? That's the mark of a bot, not a human. They are adding a lot of value, but the bot policy suggests they ought to have a bot account and it go through the approval process. —Tom Morris (talk) 16:07, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
Actually, I'll take that back. The addition of the links to the various databases are suggested by WD:PST. —Tom Morris (talk) 17:19, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
Ehmmm. PST isn't enabled by default and anonymous users don't have a preferences section to activate PST. Mbch331 (talk) 17:28, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
Also, edits done with PST should be appended with a edit summary indicating that. Sjoerd de Bruin (talk) 17:28, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

Per Tom, block the user for running an unauthorized bot and advise the IP that he is required to register an account for a bot. --Izno (talk) 19:52, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
And if I read the bot policy in its intent and not its present verbiage, he is also required to register an account for his primary user if he intends to operate a bot. --Izno (talk) 19:54, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

Since there is no separate protection against merging item, I placed a full protection until the end of the RfC. Please come back here when the RfC is closed and the protection can be lifted. Mbch331 (talk) 08:41, 24 December 2015 (UTC)

Far is my uncollaboratively, well i am true believer in this policy --Milicevic01 (talk) 10:08, 24 December 2015 (UTC)

@Milicevic01: First off, that page (DNFTT) doesn't apply here, because there aren't any grounds to call Airon90 a troll. Secondly, you and Airon90 should be aware that further edit warring by either or both of you is grounds for a block of whoever does it. No exceptions. We should not have to protect the items from other potentially legitimate edits because of edit warring by only a few users. Please get to a consensus with arguments based on reliable sources (pictures alone do not suffice). As for whether a rebadge of a car should be considered to be different from the original, that should be discussed at the RfC.--Jasper Deng (talk) 10:14, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
Yes it does, but you need to look at his comments. Far i'm concerned life is too short to waste my time on persons like him, i guess asking him to use commons sens is a bit to much. Over and out --Milicevic01 (talk) 10:30, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
@Milicevic01: Such statements constitute personal attacks and assumption of bad faith. It doesn't matter how "wrong" you think Airon90 is. This is a collaborative project. If they are working in good faith, which I can see here, then you have to work with them.--Jasper Deng (talk) 18:29, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
