Hi Stryn. What about telling your bot to add descriptions in languages other than Finnish, too? They may be taken from chemical compound (Q11173).
About this board
It's possible, but I can only add one description in one edit, not like this bot, as I'm using the QuickStatements, and he Python or something that I don't know.
In this case, it might be better to have this task done by Emijrpbot.
He already did this one, but for some reason didn't add Finnish descriptions (see example). And everyone can add as many descriptions/labels/statements at once as they can. It's not forbidden to add descriptions only for one language.
Well, your bot is flooding my watchlist in de.wikipedia.
You can hide Wikidata from your watchlist https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Spezial%3ABeobachtungsliste&days=3&hideWikibase=1&namespace=&action=submit
I do surely know this, but there are good reasons not to. To keep my watchlist readable, I use https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spezial:Beobachtungsliste?lifilterexpr=StrynBot&lifilterinv=1 (having activated MediaWiki:Gadget-rightsfilter.js).
Sorry for the flood, but I'm glad if you found a solution!
Well, the best solution would be that in de.wikipedia watchlist no changes to labels or descriptions other than in German would be shown. They are of no interest for de.wikipedia. The same certainly applies for fi.wikipedia etc.
Well, my bot is not the only bot or user editing Wikidata items. You can show Wikidata edits, but hide bots then by using &hidebots=1. Also my own watchlist on fiwiki is always full of Wikidata edits, even if they are not edits made by my bot.
Before removing images, let me explain
At Romanian Wikipedia we have https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modul:Pagina_principal%C4%83 which uses images included at Wikidata for FA, GA and FL, that's why those images had to be added.
Yes, but https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q175&diff=prev&oldid=410112203 is not a photo of Sao Paulo, just a flag. https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q769746&diff=prev&oldid=410113091 is not a "List of FA Cup finals", just some random player.
It's impossible to make an image with all the winners, it would be too big and we don't have all the images required.
Well, if there is not photo of all the winners let it be without a photo on Wikidata. If you want a photo to the Romanian article, you can always add it locally there.
At Sao Paolo I completely agree with the removal of the flag, since it's a duplicate. It would be perfect if you could explain to me with what kind of images should I replace those who don't comply to your local Wiki.
I put something that is similar to or represent somewhat the subject.
In Q769746 for example, there is the cup and one of the winners. I don't know what alternative can be included.
But it's wrong, we have got a lot of complaints on the Finnish Wikipedia about wrong photos that appears automatically now on Wikipedia.
Can you link some of theme here please so I can reffer them to my local Wiki?
Well about your additions was only this one: https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Kahvihuone_(tekniikka)#Itsest.C3.A4.C3.A4n_Wikidatasta_.28.3F.29_ilmestyv.C3.A4t_kuvat and then I started going through your edits, and found many others that we would not allow on Finnish Wikipedia.
Other complaints about wrong images:
Well, this is an oddity that Wikidata should explain. Is there any policy regarding what king of images can be included and which cannot be included? I would comply to it.
We don't have such a policy as far as I know, but IMO images should always be directly related to the subject of the Wikidata item, not something closely related to the subject. You can of course start a discussion about this on the project chat if you disagree with my removals.
Another thing which I think is fine is using an image of an singer while performing a specific song, used for articles about songs. Some of the images also have the costumes which are used in the video clip of the song or on the cover, because there is no way you can use the cover of the song since it's copyrighted.
I'll start a discussion at the village pump.
Well, list here what you want to remove so I could refer this discusion to my local village pump and Wikidata village pump and eventually discuss some of them.
At discogaphies you can't use let's say, all the covers of the albums of a singer or band as the images would be under copyright, so the only option left would be an image with a singer or one with, let's say, a golden or platinum record.
I don't have lists of images that should be removed. But well, in the film items some random persons like . Artists in discographies . Random images in songs , not at all related to the song. In list articles some random persons . Random images in albums . And many many more but these are just a few examples that I easily found.
At movies I agree, if it doesn't resamble the character, than the photograph with the actor should not be used.
Does Wikidata overwrite the image parameter completed locally with P:18 in the formats used on Finnish Wikipedia?
Wasn't here: https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q26061&diff=prev&oldid=410112696 the official flag of that region? It's used on the official site and several other sites linked to it.
Ohh sorry that was a mistake from me. I thought it was a normal image statement. For your other questions I will answer later as I'm on my phone now and heading to bed.
I same issue here, when trying to use QuickStatements.
It's probably the IP of the Tools Labs server that was blocked.
Requesting your kind intervention
Hope you are fine.
I've written an article on Urdu Wikipedia Ur:بھارت کے اسپیشل ایکنامک زونز on Special Economic Zones in India. A Wikidata Rollbacker in constantly trying to merge it with item Q6598002 i.e. List of Special Economic Zones in India.
I am requesting your kind intervention so that Special Economic Zones in India cited above retains its distinct item code and I can write a different list item in future on List of Special Economic Zones in India.
For your record, Special Economic Zones in India contains the following sections:
- SEZ introduction.
- Origin in India
- Available facilities to SEZs in India.
- Conversion of EPZs into SEZs (only converted units are mentioned).
- Annual income increments of SEZ incomes
- Public problems because of SEZs
All these are distinct from EnWiki list article and hence it merits a separate Qcode.
alright, I've restored your revision and also left a note on another users' talk page.

Like some other community members, you are using Flow.
An increasing number of communities now use Flow or are considering it. Although Flow itself is not scheduled for major development during 2016 fiscal year, the Collaboration Team remains interested in the project and in providing an improved system for structured discussions.
You can help us make decisions about the way forward in this area by sharing your thoughts about Flow — what works, doesn't work or should be improved?
Thanks for your ideas and opinions about Flow!
I undid your bot's description as that seems a bit too early given the date of birth/death of the person. You may want to review similar ones.

Hups tosiaan, kiitos ilmoituksesta! Sekoitin tuon sivuun MediaWiki:Mainpage-nstab. Ja käsittääkseni sivulla MediaWiki:Common.css olevat
Mutta ehkä suoritan Common.css:n siivoamisen noista koodeista joku toinen kerta.
