- Ash Crow (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools)
Active contributor since the beginning of the project. He has done many useful small contributions in order to keep the data clean. The admin right will allow him to delete items without having to go throw the request for deletion process. Tpt (talk) 18:11, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comments[edit]
- @Ash Crow: Question Redirects of items are being implemented right now (see Wikidata:Project chat), which will lessen the need to delete items (merges will no longer require it). By submitting this request, do you wish to do other deletions instead?
- Yes. -Ash Crow (talk) 19:16, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- @Ash Crow: Question what is your view on Wikidata:Alternate accounts? Multichill (talk) 13:36, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Hello @Multichill:. I'm not too sure of what your question is exactly about. The "Legitimate uses of alternate accounts" listed seem legitimate to me, and the first two illegitimate uses seem OK too. I don't see how "having an alternate account just to have an alternate account" can be a problem. As for me personally, I have two active accounts on Wikidata : my main account Ash_Crow, and Sylvain WMFr, which I only use for professional things as an employee of Wikimédia France, like interacting with the local community on the Francophone village pump. I think it's a legitimate use. -Ash Crow (talk) 19:12, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Your two acounts are currently not linked. You should do that. User:Duesentrieb and User:Daniel Kinzler (WMDE) is a good example on how to do that. Relevant part from the page "All alternate accounts must be declared if the main account is running for any position that requires a community discussion (translation administrator, bot, administrator, bureaucrat, checkuser, or oversighter).". Multichill (talk) 19:23, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- @Multichill, Jasper Deng: done! Though given how sysops can receive death threats on some projects, I think it's a bit of a dangerous practice to link to their identity... -Ash Crow (talk) 19:45, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
