Tobias Conradi has created a mess. He first created the Wikidata item based on a GND entry. He then changed the meaning of the GND (the details are more complicated, see w:de:Diskussion:Paul_Einhorn) entry and then edited the Wikidata item. @Jura1: That would be 4,574 items. And it won’t stop there, as the user created some 285.000 items as User:MrProperLawAndOrder and any number of other items with other socks. There’s already opposition (User:Epìdosis and others) against mass deletions with the sole reason being block evasion. I do agree that we should delete items created by Conradi in the last few weeks and in the future, but I would

Agree with @Emu:: I obviously oppose the deletion of items by MrProperLawAndOrder, since already an year is passed and they have now been substantially enriched by many users. Regarding items created at the end of June by HumanAFuser I'm neutral, they have received few edits and they are mostly items present only in GND, so in their case deletion can be justified (however, @GZWDer: expressed against it here); probably an exception can be made for items having incoming links, in order not to break them. I support deletion of items created by next appearances of the same user. --Epìdosis 15:06, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

In my opinion, any measure taken (block, deletion, revert, protection) should have the final purpose of keeping the quality of Wikidata. We should not revert or delete mere to guarantee the effect of block (i.e. revert each and every edit of a blocked or globally banned user). Doing so does not reduce drama (if users are still free to revert edits they find inappropriate by itself.)--GZWDer (talk) 15:13, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

@GZWDer: I see your point, but this just means that we accept the fact that anybody can do anything they want on Wikidata. As I’ve said before, I think that the whole problem has to be eventually resolved offline, be it by the courts or in another forum. But in the meantime, reverting anything, blocking every sock and protecting items with several attempts of block evasion is the clearest form to show that the community does not accept the presence of said user. It must also be the most frustrating one for most sane persons. And I consider it the most drama-free actually, especially since we resorted to delete any attempt to use talk pages. And as for deleting items and reverting edits: The user has the habit of “giving others homework”. Reverting and deleting doesn’t really give your mind much to do, but having to think about every edit (some are good, some are bogus, but a lot of them are a mixed bag) is frustrating. --Emu (talk) 17:47, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

@Emu: The request is just for items created by the same user account. Nothing from 2020. The two users I checked with before are @Epìdosis: and @Bargioni: who both didn't seem to mind. It's clear that eventually we will have to deal with users who encourage block evasion and accessing WMF systems for editing despite explicitly being prohibited from doing. --- Jura 15:41, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

I do not oppose deletion if the items are found problemic by itself, but 1. please do not leave inconsistent state (such as deleting items used elsewhere) and 2. do not disrupt others' good work (items improved by others). It is generally not a good idea to delete more than 1000 otherwise good items. tldr: deletion is a last choice; anything that can be improved should not be deleted.--GZWDer (talk) 14:00, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

Once they are gone, there wont be any inconsistency. I haven't really seen a clear statement from your side that blocked users shouldn't be creating new items. Not that it's required, but it would clarify things.
