@Quakewoody: Normally merging is indeed what should be done with duplicate items. However the creator cleared all data and this indicates in my humble opinion an intention for deletion, so I don't think there is any reason to merge. Delete. Having looked at the de.wp and en.wp pages linked from Karataş (Q398124), I'm convinced by E4024's evidence that Q1728994 was created by mistake. Yes, similar absurdity. Now I must confess I contributed to this mess simply because I thought DE:WP could be a serious place and did not question my initial amazement about having such strange given names in my mother tongue. It did not pass through my mind, at the beginning, that they could be confusing given and family names. I just thought "Vay beee we have real strange given names in my language!" :) P.D. "Vay bee" is an exclamation of surprise vis-a-vis absurd things in Turkish; I would never take seriously a site with that name. --E4024 (talk) 10:36, 9 November 2019 (UTC)

German WP, like other WPs, is not a reliable source; especially on issues related to Turks. One (me) thinks having lived together (I mean side by side :) with them for so many years now in Berlin and elsewhere, the Germans would know Turks better than the Japanese do, but my personal experience showed me that they do not. No item for the name but there is William Blackstone Hubbard (Q18739704), also we seem to be using given name and surname for names other than birth names, such as Jet Black (Q3177775) (presumably a stage name and unrelated to the Dutch name). Peter James (talk) 15:17, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
