Requested deletions

Hi! Please make sure that you have correctly unlinked and merged all the items before requesting deletion. In the case of Q7549871 it was heavily linked with other items, so you should have changed all the instances to Q3963190 before requesting deletion. Merging tool

Hi, Gabbe, thanks to merging item. Do you know the tool Merge? Is perfect for merging. Automatically join all the labels, descriptions, aliases, property and sitelink and automatically can add the item to WD:RFD. If you can use it you are sure that nothing is missing. Authority control module

Hi!

I recently tried adding the Wikidata functionality from en:Module:Authority control/sandbox you wrote to en:Module:Authority control, but it resulted in an error, so I've reverted myself. Specifically, if you take the article "en:Liudmyla Monastyrska", it currently looks fine. But if you change {{Authority control}} to {{Authority control/sandbox}} it gives "Script error". I assume this is because the corresponding entry on Wikidata (Q6654017) doesn't have the "VIAF identifier" property set. Is there anyway of fixing the module so that it doesn't result in this error? Sökning i raderade versioner

Bland adminverktygen finns det verktyg för att söka I raderade sidor (titta bland specialsidorna). Frågan är om någon sida med en label eller sitelink till "Kategori:Svenska musiker under 1900-talet" går att hitta där. Det ger inte alltid så mycket vettigt, då inget sökverktyg hos MediaWiki är så där lysande konstruerad. Jag vill minnas att verktyget för att söka i raderade sidor är extra uselt, så jag har inte så stora förhoppningar. Jag tror aldrig jag använde det på Wikidata, så det finns ju utrymme för mirakel. -- Innocent bystander (talk) 17:05, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Kan du göra, frågan var ju främst om det fanns någon data I form av properties och liknande till en eventuell raderad sida, och jag tror vi kan komma fram till att det sannolikt aldrig fanns någon sådan. Invitation to Wikidata user study

Dear Gabbe,
I am a researcher of the Web and Internet Science group of the University of Southampton.
Together with a group of other researchers from the same University, we are currently conducting a research aiming to discover how newcomers become full participants into the Wikidata community. We are interested in understanding how the usage of tools, the relationships with the community, and the knowledge and application of policy norms change from users' first approach to Wikidata to their full integration as fully active participants.
This study will take place as an interview, either by videotelephony, e.g. Skype, phone, or e-mail, according to the preference of the interviewees. The time required to answer all the questions will likely be about an hour. Further information can be found on the Research Project Page Becoming Wikidatians: evolution of participation in a collaborative structured knowledge base.
Any data collected will be treated in the strictest confidentiality, no personal information will be processed for the purpose of the research. The study, which has submission number 20117, has received ethical approval following the University of Southampton guidelines.
We aim at gathering about 20 participants, chosen among experienced Wikidata users who authored a large number of contributions.

GTAA on Wikidata

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment

Dear Gabbe,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits. Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in late January 2022 or early February 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes.
