La distinct-values constraint (Q21502410) especifica que los valores de esta propiedad deben ser únicos en todos los Wikidata, y ningún otro elemento debe tener el mismo valor en una declaración para esta propiedad.

Casi todas las propiedades del identificador (externo) tienen una restricción de este tipo, ya que ISBN-13 (P212) o Freebase ID (P646) deben identificar de forma única a una entidad. Otros ejemplos incluyen flag (P163) y anthem (P85). También Commons category (P373) debe ser única, puesto que, normalmente, esas categorías tienen un único enlace de sitio a Commons.

Si no se especifica constraint scope (P4680), esta restricción solo se verifica en el valor principal de una declaración.

A qualifier can be defined as separator (P4155). This allows the same value on multiple entities as long as the separator qualifier is different.
