Co-producers[edit]

Is it OK to add co-producers? e.g. Indestructible by Disturbed was produced by Dan Donegan and co-produced by Draiman and Wengren. --Viscontino talk 21:34, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

musical ensemble (Q2088357) or similar can have producers too?[edit]

e.g. The Beatles (Q1299) and George Martin (Q191819) d1g (talk) 17:02, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

novalue[edit]

@Ghuron, Moebeus: Re. Special:Diff/993383280, is it useful to add novalue for this property to compositions? Within the classification system where tracks are separate to compositions, it's not really possible for a composition to have a producer to begin with, and a producer having creative input in that way would be credited as a songwriter of the composition and a producer of the track. Maybe it would be useful temporarily while there are two different modelling systems at the same time, though. Jc86035 (talk) 11:37, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Jc86035: This was the result of an ad hoc solution/hack to avoid certain batch jobs re-setting the producer property on compositions that have been "normalized" (split into song/single/recording). If you know a better way I'm sure it would be welcomed!Moebeus (talk) 11:43, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Moebeus: Oh, that makes sense. It's probably appropriate, then, and it's still correct so it doesn't introduce any inaccuracies. Jc86035 (talk) 11:46, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

add broadcasters to contraint[edit]

I would like to suggest that Q15265344 (broadcaster) is added to the constraint for producer. example: Q1623930 is a radio program and was produced by Q565566 and Q446608 which are broadcasting organizations. Currently these are flagged as issues but i think it fits just fine. Alongside record label, production team, musical group. Mutante (talk) 01:43, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
