A WikiProject for work done at the Penn State University Libraries to connect library data with wikidata and enhance wikidata coverage of local entities about whom we may have specialized knowledge. This is an emerging project and will result in the creation of further guidelines, workflows, statistics, and specific projects to reuse existing data.

Resources and guidelines to aid in creating or enhancing records for different entities.

Creative Works vs. Editions[edit]

Wikidata uses a FRBR-inspired method of describing works vs. their editions. It's not always consistently applied throughout the site, which makes it frustrating to work with at times.

The WikiProject for books has a pretty good documentation page for which properties should be used on which kind of entry.
