Deezer and Discogs, multiple values

1
Obsuser (talkcontribs)

Should we allow multiple values here, as it is for Musixmatch? Example is Q292265 where there is one primary and other one secondary value for Deezer. Same happens with Discogs, when there are two profiles. Thank you for help in advance.

Can you fix Q21503250 so that bands are allowed for this property? We are talking about artist in both musician and band cases and base URL is same (and contains artis keyword: https://www.musixmatch.com/artist/). Thanks. /Example of page with error flagged: Q167160/

Kristbaum (talkcontribs)

Of course :) (You can also fix this yourself, by just adding new class in the Property restrictions section of the property, if you want to.)

Obsuser (talkcontribs)

Thanks.

Hello! I would like to ask you, if it possible, to do QuickStatements batch or Mix'n'match catalog for video games property OpenCritic ID (P2864). Here is the data base for property. Thank you in advance.

Kirilloparma (talkcontribs)

Sorry, I made a mistake in the database url, here is the correct one.

Unfortunately, several days has already passed, but the catalog has not been updated yet. :(

Kristbaum (talkcontribs)

Yeah I've seen it. I also asked Magnus Manske how to fix it, but he didn't reply yet...

Kirilloparma (talkcontribs)

Thank you to report the problem, I think Magnus likely reply on his discussion page here on Wikidata about reports.

Kristbaum (talkcontribs)

Should I post it again? I wouldn't want to bother him.. I mean, we could also just create a new catalog, but right this time.

Kirilloparma (talkcontribs)

Yeah, I think in the same way, it will be better just to create a new one.

There is some error with this property's regex. It does not recognize it as correct on Q1289073 even though it is. Also on Q229449, capital letters not recognized as possible correct value. Also Vučković-Severina-3 not recognized as correct, as well as Šaban-Šaulić.

Kristbaum (talkcontribs)

Fixed it. Sorry for the error, but none of the examples included non ASCII characters, and I didn't see any when looking around :)

Thank you!

Updating URLs in references to HTTPS

I don't think this is a good idea, the URL which was used when sourcing the statement should be specified. I think it shouldn't be changed. At other places of course, but not in references. Cheers!

Kristbaum (talkcontribs)

I thought it was a good idea, because the Spiegel has just switched to https by default. But I see your point, I doesn't make much sense to change links unless they are broken, thanks for pointing it out.

(Also, personally I don’t really mind, but per Wikidata:Property creators I think you’re not supposed to create properties you have proposed yourself [which kind of makes sense :)])

Kristbaum (talkcontribs)

You're right, that makes sense :)

I totally forgot about pinging the project, sry...

Hi! Do you know what is the proper way to add the ROM hacks to Wikidata (e.g. Grand Poo World (Q64139780))? (using the original game as the "software engine" doesn't feel right!) Also, what is the proper way to describe a ROM hack itself: Game ROM hack (Q64139617)?

Hey there,

I just crawled IndieDB for links and matched the most likely candidates by comparing the wikidata genres. I still have about 1500 matches left, but there the data seems to be less reliable. If you want, I could put them on Mix'n'match (I used openrefine until now).

Jean-Frédéric (talkcontribs)

Thanks for the answer,

I made a Mix’n’match scraper, so that it would auto-update when they add more entries, but somehow it got messed up (I tried to use the 'follow' strategy rather than hardcoding the number of pages >_>) − will look into fixing later…

I have been waiting for a month
