Navigation[edit]

Hello,
What do you say about the return of the navigation frame ({{Discussion navigation}}) here, as on the WD:AN page and as it was on the WD:DEV page ? —Eihel (talk) 18:22, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I excluded it because we wanted to keep the discussion page clean and simple. However, I do think the template would be helpful to make people aware of a number of behind-the-scenes things that they would otherwise not be exposed to. I'm happy to hear what people think about bringing the template back here. -Mohammed Sadat (WMDE) (talk) 08:13, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Tagishsimon: It is not the creator of the page who decides and the pages of the project do not belong to anyone. Thank you. —Eihel (talk) 03:18, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No, but it's traditional to invite them into the conversation. Grow up, Eihel. --Tagishsimon (talk) 07:41, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Who are you talking to, @Tagishsimon: ? This is not a Property proposition type page, it is a lambda page from the Project namespace. So the creator of the page does not need to be expressly contacted to give his opinion, especially if the user is under contract. Now, if your goal is to be nasty, the Internet is swarming with other sites, especially as you sidestep the primary meaning of the section, give your opinion. First thing you do is ask an off-topic question: do you think I'm asking the community for feedback on a random talk page? Also, have the conviction of your words by notifying your interlocutor. My turn to return your politeness, grow up, Tagishsimon. —Eihel (talk) 07:47, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, it is traditional, or, to put it another way, sensible, to bring into the conversation the person who created the page. It is certainly not objectionable to have pinged Mohammed, and yet you object. And in objecting, you say "It is not the creator of the page who decides and the pages of the project do not belong to anyone" in a situation in which no-one has suggested either of these things.
You have posted here. You have canvassed on the main project chat page. A couple of weeks have passed. No interest has been shown. I think you will find, for practical purposes, and as a matter of great irony, that Mohammed will take the decision on whether or not the template is returned, your disdain for the opinions of "staff" notwithstanding. --Tagishsimon (talk) 08:13, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
