Bulk deletion request

Duplicates created by LinkedPipes ETL Bot due to unexpectedly high lag between Wikidata and Wikidata Query Service (Part II - again due to the lag, some duplicates creations were still on the way. Sorry. Jakub Klímek (talk) 13:12, 18 November 2019 (UTC)

@Peter James: This is because we improved the bot, so the later created item is richer than the original. Still, this was a mistake, as the original item should have been improved instead. Unfortunately, because of the lag, at that time, the original item was not yet visible in the Query service, and therefore, a new item was created. I would prefer to keep the items with lower Q numbers, which will be later improved by the bot correctly. Jakub Klímek (talk) 18:49, 14 November 2019 (UTC)

@1234qwer1234qwer4: Sure, they can be merged, but is it not more work and the same effect as deleting these and us updating the originals with the richer data? @Jura1: This was actually not a test, this was a regular bot run, however, as explained above, there was an unusual lag (> 10h) in updates to the Wikidata Query Service which caused the updates not being propagated. Therefore, the bot had no way of knowing that some items were already created. Regarding test.wikidata.org - we would love to use it, however, there is no Query service on the test instance - or I was not able to find one, which means we cannot use it, as Query service is a prerequisite for our bot.
