Babel[edit]

Babel lets you view and edit more than one language on Wikidata. Just add e.g. {{#babel:de-N|en-3|es-1|fr-2|nl-3|it-4|da-0}} to your user page. With the same language codes you can add links to your userpage on Wikipedia e.g. de:User:User123. --Tobias1984 (talk) 09:37, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Glad I could help. --Tobias1984 (talk) 21:14, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Popolon. You may respond to my comment, and reverse your modification to this 2 items, as they are different ones. Thanks. --Rédacteur Tibet (talk) 18:25, 23 September 2015 (UTC) I responded on the talk page. This issue is not yet solved. --Rédacteur Tibet (talk) 11:05, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You are totally wrong, a city in most east-Asian countries (Siberian Russia areas, Mongolia, China, Japan, Korea...) are a region that go far away from the main urban area of the region, in most case you have sub-cities, sub-districts, etc... you can look at every cities of this countries and their map on en:OpenStreetMap if you need to learn how is East-asian geography administration. The fact that this was didn't started yesterday does not mean that this is not the same. The fact is that the name didn't change and nor the location. Both your "different" cities/region are in the same district (Tibetan:
ཀོང་པོ་རྒྱ་མདའ་རྫོང་།
, Han:
工布江达县
, English transliteration en:Gongbo'gyamda County). Please don't try to disorganize Wikipedia one more time.Popolon (talk) 10:29, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Could you reverse your modifications to these 2 items, according to other users? --Rédacteur Tibet (talk) 10:29, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I in fact don't care about this hamlet, you can do what you want with it...Popolon (talk) 19:45, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

P1283[edit]

filmography (P1283) shouldn't be used for the films themselves. Please see the property talk page. Sjoerd de Bruin (talk) 11:20, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot, I will look at it.Popolon (talk) 21:05, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

French descriptions for Thai administrative units[edit]

I just noticed that you added a french label and description for Chang Phueak (Q5071657). As I use a bot to edit the Thai administrative units, I could easily add the code to generate the French descriptions as well - however I sadly don't speak any French :-( If you would provide me with description templates for each (or some) of the types amphoe (Q475061), tambon (Q1077097) and Muban (Q1368879), district of Bangkok (Q15634531) Khwaeng (Q456876), as well as the local government types Thesaban Mueang (Q13025342), Thesaban Nakhon (Q15141632), subdistrict municipality (Q15141625) and subdistrict administrative organization (Q15140073), I'd be happy to make sure that all the items we have so far (and those which will be created later) will have a description fitting to the template. For tambon (Q1077097) I guess its something like "sous-district de {0}, province de {1}, en Thaïlande". Ahoerstemeier (talk) 08:53, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot !!!, I will try to do this this evening :)Popolon (talk) 14:07, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Ahoerstemeier:, I gone as far I can, I believe there isn't too much error. I'm surpised by the size of district (keth) that looks like the size of a "quartier" in France, and not an "Arrondissement" or "district", after looking the great number in Bangkok. Perhaps, this is not an habit to have a global detailed view of this kind of administrative subdibision in France biggest cities like Paris. But even with this kind of view, I really feel there isn't so much dubdivisions. That was very interesting looking at. Thanks again.Popolon (talk) 00:17, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WMF projects - translation of labels and descriptions[edit]

lang=fr : ?lang=fr&props=31,218,219,220,506,1406&q=claim[1800]

Dear Popolon! I have seen your edits at some pages about WMF projects and/or about languages as Malayalam (Q36236) and want to let you know that the number of Wikidata:Database reports/WMF projects there is also the page Wikipedia versions has increased to more then 409; there are pages from Wikibook project pages to Wikiversity and Wiktionary project pages. You may be interested in adding labels and descriptions in other languages. Please follow also the discussion at property talk:P218 and comment there. Best regards Gangleri also aka I18n (talk) 23:11, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Gangleri, I will have a look ar it. As I still didn't found how to allow to have new supported languages in Original name field, and, at least manchu and old turk/gögtürk are missing.Popolon (talk) 18:49, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dragpa Gyeltshen[edit]

Drakpa Gyeltsen (Q1255217), Tibetan lama was born in 1619. So why do you write: "this is really the same one for this one (same birth/death date, same name...)" = Drakpa Gyeltsen (Q662562), 3rd of the 5 patriarchs of the Sakya tradition (GND 129719056) born in 1147? --Kolja21 (talk) 20:35, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'm really sorry :(. I seen several ref on the same (12th century), this morning, I think I was editing this one... but few days ago, I probably edited 17th century one. I will correct everything. Thanks a lot.Popolon (talk) 20:39, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Thanx for the fast reply. --Kolja21 (talk) 21:18, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 15:04, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 15:13, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Release candidate versions[edit]

Please don't set pre-release software as "recommended" status especially when there are newer stable releases.. Ipr1 (talk) 10:14, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ipr1 can you be more clear, about what subject/data do you speak and which language do you use ? I never us recommended, there are probably translation problems with the tag. Popolon (talk) 19:34, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
