General modelling
[edit]Test results are modelled using the property assessment (P5021) with qualifier assessment outcome (P9259) in case of a pass/failure result.

If a test does not produce a pass/failure result but a score assessment outcome (P9259) is omitted and only review score (P444) is used:

There are additional qualifiers than can be used to convey more information about the assessment outcome:
Qualifiers to use along with assessment (P5021) in addition to assessment outcome (P9259)
[edit]Qualifiers to give more exact information about the assessment.
Title | ID | Data type | Description | Examples | Inverse |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
review score | P444 | String | assessment: used to state how many points this work scored | Point Break <assessment> Bechdel test <review score> 0/3 | - |
criterion used | P1013 | Item | criterion: used to state which criteria were crucial to the test result | The Virgin Suicides <assessment> Landau Test <criterion used> first Landau or Reverse Landau Test criteria | - |
Qualifiers to express to what extend the assessment is valid.

Modelling patterns
[edit]Bechdel test pattern: using review score (P444) in case of failure
[edit]Requirements:
- The test requires a film to pass all criteria in order to pass the test.
- The criteria build on each other (e.g. in order to pass the second criterion the first criterion has to be fulfilled)
For passing works no additional qualifier is needed:

For failing works review score (P444) may be used to express how many points exactly were scored

[edit]Feldman test pattern: using criterion used (P1013) and review score (P444) in case of both pass and failure
[edit]Requirements:
- The test requires a variable number of criteria to be passed and a minimum number of points to be scored
Passing and failing works follow the same model:
assessment complete assessment |

add value |
There may be incomplete assessments with a clear result (e.g. if the minimum number of points is already scored with a subset of criteria or if it is impossible to reach the minimum number of points for the works). To make explicit that the assessment is incomplete the maximum number of points should be adjusted to the maximum number of points that could have been scored with the criteria selected.

[edit](Afro-)BubbleGum Test Pattern: using review score (P444) in both pass and failure
[edit]Requirements:
- Out of a set of criteria one criterion has to be fulfilled
- There may be mandatory criteria
Passing and failing works follow the same model:

[edit]Zimmerman Test pattern: using criterion used (P1013) in case of pass
[edit]Requirements: One criterion out of a set of criteria has to be fulfilled in order to pass the test.
For passing works criterion used (P1013) may be used in order to express which criterion/criteria is/are fulfilled:
