Motivation[edit]
Propylaeum-VITAE (Q123255762) is an Open Access structured database of biographies on people who worked in Archeology and Classical Studies. Created in 2021, it is maintained by the Propylaeum - Virtual Special Library of Classical Studies (Q1246001), funded (until 2024) by the RGK (Deutsches Archäologisches Institut. Römisch-Germanische Kommission (Q1425831)) and the LEIZA (Leibniz-Zentrum für Archäologie (Q115755098)) and developed by the University Library Heidelberg (Q880794). Currently it has 2,780 biographies, most of which link to Wikipedia articles.
I am confident this property will be a valuable addition to our sources.

Comment I think the scope of the property should be widened, given that the same base URL can also point to countries, places, institutions and congress. --Jahl de Vautban (talk) 11:41, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Jahl de Vautban: Possibly. As these items are very basic (with labels, external IDs and biographies linked to them), I didn't consider them a vital addition to Wikidata. But it could be true the other way around.
