- Motivation
We already have over 280 of these IDs, using website account on (P553). ru.Wikipedia has over 1000 IDs in templates. Template:LiveJournal (Q13254200) exists in 11 Wikipedias. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 16:03, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
- Discussion
- Oppose use P553 if you don't plan to convert them.
--- Jura 06:20, 15 September 2016 (UTC)- Your oppose is based on a vague and speculative assumption. Such behaviour is disruptive. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 20:37, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
- Your comment is a vague and speculative assumption. I wonder what we should consider that.

- Support, it used to be pretty common in Russia, and I do not see much difference with e.g. facebook ID.--Ymblanter (talk) 17:49, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
- Comment To clarify the open question, as "?" above was reverted twice by the proposer. I added above "|planned use = proposer has not specified any planned use".
--- Jura 19:03, 28 September 2016 (UTC)- Stop trolling, Jura. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:20, 28 September 2016 (UTC)
- Instead of resorting to speculative assumptions, can you state your planned use?

- Comment No idea what Jura's bug is here. But Andy, do you have a reasonable criterion for how many P553 entries ought to qualify a website for its own identifier? 1000 seems kind of a bare minimum to me. ArthurPSmith (talk) 17:42, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- I've made proposals for everything with more than 100 P553 uses. As noted ,there are over 1000 of these IDs in templates on ru.Wikipedia. As also noted above, Template:LiveJournal (Q13254200) exists in 11 Wikipedias: there is thus a high potential for reuse. - Support 1000 importable values on ruwp seems reasonable to qualify this for its own property. Andrew Gray (talk) 20:38, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- Support LJ is decidedly out of vogue in the west, but is still popular in the Russian-speaking world, and to a lesser extent among other Slavic language speakers. There are thousands of notable people with LJ accounts that could usefully be pointed to, and a separate property would be convenient. I am willing to help with the migration, if necessary.
