Motivation

properties for this type (P1963) is useful for recommending missing props on an entity based on what the entity is an instance of.

Unfortunatly it only works classes that can be linked with instance of (P31) which isn't how many properties are linked. Some classes that would be a good determiner which properties would be useful are linked with occupation (P106) or genre (P136) or platform (P400).

@Thierry Caro: appearently thought so too, when they changed the description to also apply on occupation (P106).

I basically agree, but why should it only apply on occupation (P106)? Either we agree, it is only limited to instance of (P31) or we properly document which properties are allowed.  – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shisma (talk • contribs) at 08:42, 30 August 2023 (UTC).

@YotaMoteuchi, Sanqui, Kirilloparma, Azertus, ChristianKl:Update: I decided to withdraw this proposal for two reasons:

1. There is an already existing property which could do the same job applies to use with property (P11527)
2. I figured we already have constraints that could be used to fulfill the same job and they are allready well maintained.

•  Comment. This proposal appears to be a fork of applies to use with property (P11527), a property that I created a couple months ago, so I'm not sure why we need a property with almost the same name. What about a schema like this?
