Motivation[edit]
Allow identifying Supreme Court decisions by docket number, which is unique to each case --DannyS712 (talk) 22:11, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
- Could also be used as an external url, but the best source I could find that would work for all dockets is
https://caselaw.findlaw.com/search.html?search_type=docket&court=us-supreme-court&text=$1

- Support Please don't ping me if this is approved. NMaia (talk) 06:44, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
- Support - However, the regex should be \d{2}-\d{2,}, as the Supreme Court page itself says the second number can be 2, 3 or 4 digits. Even Example 6 above for Roe V Wade is 2+2. Also, we should rename this as "United States Supreme Court docket number" and/or "U.S. Supreme Court docket number." -- Fuzheado (talk) 16:18, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
- I have fixed the regex - sorry, typo. I agree that the actual property should have the country in the name. --DannyS712 (talk) 16:20, 15 July 2019 (UTC)

- Support, but please, as an external ID. Nomen ad hoc (talk) 18:25, 16 July 2019 (UTC).
