Unfortunately, however, we still don't have inverse property for those games that are not compatible with Steam Deck. See this proposal. It was rejected for unknown reason, although it has my support vote and the property creation criteria were quite met (oppose votes were addressed). Perhaps we should reopen it? Well, you have mentioned in this proposal that you plan to use the property as a qualifier for the main Steam application ID (P1733) property, I don't think it will make it much easier to query ratings, since there is no difference between the current schema and schema of this proposal, qualifiers are used in both cases. By the way, here is the exact query for the current schema:

  • Agree with the others that this feels too specific − we would not want a property for every piece of hardware (see eg what MobyGames has for gamepads or joysticks.) Also, we definitely have an established modelling scheme for this, and the proposal was not making a case for what was the problem with it − thanks Kirilloparma for explaining it. I think we can repropose “incompatible with”, in a way that addresses the concerns raised in the last proposal. (for example, we can mandate a citation needed constraint on it, with the assumption that if the incompatibility is discussed in a source it must be somewhat notable). (An alternative that came to mind − having “compatbility status with” instead to cover both compatibility and incompatibility (using qualifiers) ; but probably repurposing the existing property would be (rightly) frowned upon.     Sure, but the difference to me would be − how many rating systems are there in the world? We currently have 20 properties under Wikidata property representing video game content ratings (Q104775940), and I assume we got most of them.   •  Oppose. Well, after some reflection, I'm still of the opinion that we should try to reopen discussion for the inverse property. The current proposal doesn't really explain what the problem with the current scheme is. It's also worth noting that many have pointed out here that the proposal feels too specific. There are tens of thousands of Steam games that are compatible with the Deck yet have never received a Steam Deck Compatability rating by Valve. A game receiving a rating vs. a game being compatible with the Deck are two completely different concepts that are being conflated thanks to using a generic property.--Trade (talk) 02:25, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
