find or create a list of items[edit]

Hello Amir, I try to find a way to have a list of items that have link only to the He-wikipedia. do you know how or where i can find this list? can you provide a list like this? - yona b (talk) 07:54, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, there is Autolist and you can use it to get list of items that have link to Hebrew Wikipedia but not en.wp or similar, but there is webservice that can provide thing you want. I can write something for your use but I will use dumps and it can take a while (two or three days, specially since I'm in Wikimania) Amir (talk) 03:02, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
i will try this tool. if i will have a problem i will reconnect you. enjoy in wikimania. - yona b (talk) 05:37, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wikidata items for RE articles from dewikisource[edit]

Hello Ladsgroup,

could you please tell your bot not to create Wikidata items for pages from dewikisource’s category s:de:Kategorie:Paulys Realencyclopädie der classischen Altertumswissenschaft? I want to create and maintain these myself for now. Thanks. Jonathan Groß (talk) 11:03, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

PS Enjoy Wikimania! Some friends of mine are there, Marcus Cyron and DerHexer. Jonathan Groß (talk) 11:11, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Thank you :) I checked my code and my bot doesn't currently do something for German Wikipedia (probably someone else asked me before) Can you show me if my bot has made such edit recently? Amir (talk) 20:12, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That person must have been me ^^ The edits were some months old, so they're not that recent. Thank you for checking the code. And BTW ... you mean German Wikisource, surely. Jonathan Groß (talk) 12:30, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, Wikisource, Sorry, Thank you :) Amir (talk) 12:52, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate claims[edit]

Pywikibot[edit]

Hello. And thanxs for your offer to help. This is my bot User:Xaris333Bot. I am new with pywikibot so I know only certain things. I like speaking with examples.

1) See 1966–67 Cypriot First Division (Q2635982). The participant (P710) has many values. All have the reference imported from Wikimedia project (P143) with Greek Wikipedia (Q11918). I want to replace the reference to all values of participant (P710) with reference URL (P854) with the url [3]. How can I do that;

2) I have a list (.txt) with all season of Cypriot First Division (Q155965). How can I use it so the change in point 1 happen to all members of the list?

Xaris333 (talk) 22:45, 4 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

More important: Look 1935–36 Cypriot First Division (Q2706388). There is participant (P710) with all the teams that took part. Is there a way, with pywikibot, to add as a qualifier number of matches played/races/starts (P1350) with number 14 to all participants? Xaris333 (talk) 14:44, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, there are two manuals that can help you first is mw:Manual:Pywikibot/Wikidata and the second one is code help.

So based on those helps:

import pywikibot
site = pywikibot.Site('en')
repo = site.data_repository()
item = pywikibot.ItemPage(repo, 'Q2635982')
item.get()
the_source = pywikibot.Claim(repo, 'P854')
the_source.setTarget('http://www.rsssf.com/tablesc/cyphist.html')
for claim in item.claims.get('P710', []):
    claim.removeSources(claim.getSources())
    claim.addSource(the_source)

Disclaimer: I didn't test it. It is just an example. Best Amir (talk) 21:23, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dexbot and Wikisource titles[edit]

Hi, I encountered an issue with Dexbot : it does not seem to fetch book titles properly from Wikisource. For example, individual chapters of Description de la Grèce (tr. Clavier) (Q20817651) (such as Q19222657 or Q19222671) were given the French label "Pausanias", which is the name of the author, not the title of the chapter. The is creating a lot of items with the exact same label. Since this happened back in march, you might have already fixed this problem but if this is not the case, could you please change Dexbot's behavior? Thanks a lot, -- Whidou (talk) 14:29, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Sorry for late answer. I will fix it, Thanks for telling me :) Amir (talk) 08:50, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed for next runs :) Amir (talk) 09:33, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you :-). -- Whidou (talk) 11:44, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinates[edit]

Hi, why coordinates are repeated two times? --Termininja (talk) 21:28, 23 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I check and fix the issue. Amir (talk) 08:04, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed the issue, I'm re-running it and I also dump all of error at the same time to fix them very soon. Thanks for telling me. Amir (talk) 09:43, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I saw also in some items there are more than 2 coordinates data (not only repeated, but and different), so you have to update the 1st coordinates (not to add new one). Regards! --Termininja (talk) 10:26, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I will take this into account. Thank you Amir (talk) 12:47, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Termininja: I fixed as much as I could but there are some left (about 100) and they have different coordinates but the difference is not something noticeable (in lots of them the difference is in order of fraction of arc seconds ~ several meters) I think it's safe to remove one of them. What do you think? Amir (talk) 12:38, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I think that you can do this, but maybe is better to check the reference (ex imported from Wikimedia project (P143)). If no reference, or has the same refrerence, you can leave the last one. If references are different and the coordinate values are also very different, the reliability of the both references has to be checked. --Termininja (talk) 13:15, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Termininja: This is list of all items of that my bot maybe added duplicate coordinates. There are 43 of them and easily doable by hand. Are you willing to help? if yes, let's split it Amir (talk) 09:42, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Great :) I checked them, and now only Q3488290, Q3488696, Q3488693, Q9248441 and Q20126139 are unclear. There are still two Q931216 and Q815809, for which I think is normal to have two coordinates - start and end point of highway.--Termininja (talk) 10:56, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Except Q20126139, I removed second ones from others, since the precision of the second coordinate was not correct. Amir (talk) 11:12, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
