Object composition[edit]

I have removed the claim subclass of (P279)  object composition (Q390066) because object composition (Q390066) is a subclass of process (Q205663) which is a subclass of occurrence (Q1190554) which is a subclass of time interval (Q186081). A group of objects is not, and can't ever be, a time interval. Mushroom (talk) 11:19, 24 May 2016 (UTC)

Superset[edit]

Properties: does not have process properties (sequence of time points, Tstart->T1->T2->T3,...Tend), => result (Q2995644) (Tend) --Fractaler (talk) 06:29, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Merging with group (Q16887380)[edit]

Pictogram voting comment.svg Notified participants of WikiProject Ontology Is there a good reason to avoid merging this property with group (Q16887380)? ChristianKl () 21:08, 11 November 2017 (UTC)

That works for me - we should have qualifiers anyway group <of> whatever. - PKM (talk) 21:56, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
Symbol support vote.svg Support I see the main enwiki "Group" page is classified as a disambiguation page although it does give pretty much the same definition as the description here (as well as a list of more specific meanings); there might be an argument for some sort of merging there also, but at least this step seems clear. At last that business has moved from the dead point, thanks! First, we have: group (Q16887380) - summarizes entities with similar characteristics together. And group of objects (Q17519152) - multiple objects of any nature considered as a set. So, "object" and "entity" are synonym (Q42106)? --Fractaler (talk) 14:07, 12 November 2017 (UTC)
For the sake of this issue, I don't see a significant difference between the term "entities" and "objects", in other cases there might be such a difference. Being a synonym implies said to be the same as (P460). We don't use that property because we deduce it, but because sources say so. If you do research and find sources who hold that opinion, you can add it. ChristianKl () 12:11, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
I also don't see a significant difference between the term "entities" and "objects". Merging (entity (Q35120)) with object (Q488383)? --Fractaler (talk) 12:30, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
Did you read the description of object (Q488383)? Do you think you understand it? Do you think there wouldn't be confusion caused when adding that description to entity (Q35120)? ChristianKl () 13:18, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
There are also distinct articles for every wiki. Let's forget this merging. --Horcrux92 (talk) 14:20, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
Item was other.
We have subject and object (Q41798914) (subject and object). But for the observer, subject or object (as contrast to the term subject) is also a object (as object, which has a space of its existence). Now we have: entity (Q35120): something that exists. What is a something? Something is object? Subject? entity (Q35120) is something? And where exists? --Fractaler (talk) 14:26, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
