For today I planned to finish adding Berlin Street ID to all streets in Berlin that have one, and start adding new streets to WD, but QuickStatements is broken:

@Pfadintegral: Gibt es offizielle Streckenabschnitte bei der A100? Die Abschnitte haben ja verschiedene Eröffnungstermine und auch zur Modelierung der Abfahrten und Anschlusstellen wären getrennte Objekte wohl hilfreich. BerlinBerlinBerlinBerlin (talk) 22:02, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
- Ich fürchte, ich weiß es nicht. Wenn, dann korrespondieren sie aber vermutlich nicht mit den Berliner Verwaltungseinheiten. Wenn die Grenzziehungen auf OpenStreetMap korrekt sind, dann ist z.B. der in Westend befindlich Teil der A100 nicht zusammenhängend und umfasst an manchen Orten nur eine der zwei Richtungen. Ich glaube nicht, dass eine Entität ist, für die ein Wikidata-Objekt sinnvoll wäre. Pfadintegral (talk) 07:56, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Pfadintegral:, ja die Aufsplittung nach Ortsteilen hat sicher nichts mit physischer Realität zu tun und findet sich wohl auch nicht in besonderer Verwendung in der öffentlichen Verwaltung. In de:Bundesautobahn 100 sind in der Infobox rechts die AS/AD von 1 bis 26 (28 im Bau, 31 geplannt) durchnummeriert. Es könnte bei Verlinkung mit Nachrichtenartikeln, Aktivitäten von z.B. Duplicates created by batch having a commons-link[edit]
@M2k~dewiki: https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q109565145&action=history isn't a separate street, it is just the section of Q63241455 located in a specific Ortsteil, here Charlottenburg-Nord. AFAICS that applies to all of the duplicates listed to "Unique value" violations and in each case an ID starting with Q1095 is involved and each of these which I checked were created by a temporary batch by you. If you want to create street sections by Ortsteil, maybe don't call them streets (P31=street)? BerlinBerlinBerlinBerlin (talk) 18:24, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
Street part[edit]
Following my post regarding duplicates created by batch, the creator User:M2k~dewiki decided to convert them to P31=part [1]. There was no information posted here, and I just found out because I wanted to merge the items and get rid of the violations. The conversion means, for some parts of streets, distinguished by location in Ortsteil, Wikidata now has separate entities [2] keeping the label and having a description "street" (not "street part") A list of some are all of the related edits: [3].
Will this be done for all streets? What is next? By postcode? By postcode and Ortsteil? By kind of pavement? By speed limits? Will this be done with squares and bridges too?
Will streets that have parts completely be covered by parts? For the example above this hasn't been done, only one of the two parts by Ortsteil exists. What about the data that is then duplicated, e.g. regarding location in administrative entity (country, district, Ortsteil)? If it can be inferred from the parts, then the whole doesn't need it? But that would mean that streets that are not located in different Ortsteil have different properties in use.

- I don't think it's a good idea. Having items for sections of streets may be useful - to model different usage, different inception date for different stretches, streets being split off other streets etc. - but a subdivision solely by Ortsteil doesn't make sense to me. As mentioned in another discussion above, these "parts" sometimes aren't even contigous and in many cases only cover one side of a street. The only purpose seems to be to map to the (in my opinion rather strange) way that Berlin streets are modeled on Commons. Pfadintegral (talk) 19:39, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Pfadintegral: additionally: The "Adressauskunft: Straßen und Plätze von Berlin" gives Ortsteile, but they probably refer to the Grundstücke located at the streets, it doesn't mean the street is located in all the Ortsteile that are listed. - @Pfadintegral: fyi https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/16566#map=18/52.53610/13.36857 - houses 20 to 30 are shown as in Mitte, but the corresponding OSM way is in Wedding. Three OSM ways are named An der Kieler Brücke. [4] the one with the houses is a "pedestrian way". Adressauskunft gives numbers 20 to 31 in Mitte. Item: Q111344986.
