For items like Bobbin Lace (Bride Ground) Border (Q80085305) with a link to a Commons-compatible image - is there a plan to bulk import these images? Can I import some manually without creating more work for one of you down the line? - PKM (talk) 18:58, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That would not be a problem at all! It would actually be nice to have a tool just one level up from url2commons called, say, wikidata2commons, so you put in a Q number and it uploads the image as defined in Commons compatible image available at URL (P4765). However, inserting the right categories and metadata in Commons for that upload is nontrivial.
