Operator: Dcirovic (talk • contribs • logs)
Task/s:
- Updating interwiki links for pages, categories and templates in local wiki (sr, sh).
- Generation of values for properties based primarily on en wiki content (mainly categories/templates).
Code: Pywikibot framework.
Function details: Use pywikibot code (wikidata, claimit, harvest_template, ...).--Dcirovic (talk) 22:11, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Which properties are you planning to populate? John Vandenberg (talk) 07:03, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- The bot would focus on articles having DrugBox, ChemBox and Enzyme templates. It would attempt to validate existing data, gather missing parameters, and update the “Statements” section. This would be done in a manner that is consistent with already uploaded data (e.g. aspirin). --Dcirovic (talk) 16:55, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Dcirovic: are you aware of free sources better than Wikipedia? --Ricordisamoa 17:01, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- If I understand your question correctly, you are asking which free sources I intend to primarily rely upon, while working within my area of interest (chemistry, biology, medicine). My intention is to make use of NCBI databases (PubChem, PubMed, …), ChEMBL, ChemSpider, DrugBank, PDBbank, etc. I also intend to apply a range of chemoinformatics and bioinformatics tools in order to validate calculable parameters. Please do not hesitate to let me know, if further clarification is needed. --Dcirovic (talk) 18:32, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Might you do some test edits? I will then go ahead an approve this. -- Bene* talk 17:04, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I made few thousands test edits shortly after asking for a bot flag, and then I was asked to stop, until the request for bot status is resolved. Would it be possible to review those edits, so that I do not antagonize patrolers. Dcirovic (talk) 19:12, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I am going to approve the bot tomorrow provided there are no objections.--Ymblanter (talk) 21:24, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
