Motivation[edit]
This property will complement these existing properties used for social media posts: number of likes (P10649), number of dislikes (P10650), number of comments (P10651), number of viewers/listeners (P5436).
It will be used as a qualifier for these properties, and any others that apply: Twitter post ID (P5933)
It can also be used as a main statement, like the properties above, on items about social media posts. According to my research, reblogs are used by Tumblr, Twitter (retweets), Reddit (crossposts), Facebook (shares), Quora (shares), Gab (reposts), Truth Social (ReTruths...), and likely many others. TikTok also shows the number of shares on a post, but they are not reblogs, the number includes external shares, while this property would only include reblogs onto the same platform.
It should be a quantity with no units, and should be a qualifier AND main statement property.
