Motivation[edit]
ScreenScraper (Q78085405) is a media database that can be used as backend for several popular retrogaming platforms (Recalbox (Q55739527), Retropie, Launchbox), with entries for 129,087 video game (Q7889) − organized in many groups, which include video game series (Q7058673), video game genre (Q659563)… in a similar fashion to UVL group ID (P7562). The genre and series data is quite good ; on the other hand the whole “Themes” section is a bit of a mess, with lots of duplicates etc. For that reason I will focus on series/franchises and main genres.
