Motivation[edit]
The MPPDA Digital Archive is a valuable, university-operated collection of documents relating to the Motion Picture Association (Q676222) (originally called the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America) and the motion picture industry between 1922 and 1939. Organisation entries contain links to documents and memos created by or mentioning the organisation (including film studios, businesses, newspapers, trade associations, etc.). Registration is required to view full sized scans of documents, but many have transcribed summaries. Note: Some organizations have multiple IDs for alternate spellings (e.g. "New York Times" and "New York Times, The") or for certain divisions within an organization (e.g. Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the American Revolution (Committee on Better Films)), so an item should probably be allowed to have multiple values, and not all MPPDA Digital Archive IDs may have a corresponding Wikidata item. -Animalparty (talk) 23:49, 20 November 2019 (UTC)
