- Motivation
The Dreadnought Project is a site for naval history 1880-1920, containing brief biographies of around 6700 people and short histories of 5000 ships. These are heavily drawn from primary and archive sources, and complement Wikipedia articles with detailed information not appropriate for those articles (eg lists of officers). (A note: while run on MediaWiki, the site is maintained by a small group of historians and is not publicly editable, so is quite stable and reliable.)
This will be particularly useful as an authoritative source for naval officers of the period. Andrew Gray (talk) 17:58, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

- Support David (talk) 07:48, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- Support - but should we store values as "H.M.S. Majestic (1895)" or "H.M.S._Majestic_(1895)"? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 23:55, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- I have a recollection that underscores are preferable because some formatter-url things don't play nicely with spaces, but I'm not sure of the details. Andrew Gray (talk) 20:57, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
