Motivation

The Digital Atlas of Idaho is an online natural history encyclopedia that covers geology, biology (botany and zoology), geology, archaeology, geography, hydrology, and climatology of Idaho. The biology part of the resource includes species descriptions and distribution maps for Idaho butterflies and Odonata, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, and conifers and flowering plants.
