Motivation
[edit]The main Canmore database has records for over 320,000 archaeological sites, monuments, and buildings in Scotland. The object-type thesaurus is the controlled vocabulary used to summarise archaeological finds associated with the sites. Matching to it would help us review the completeness and classification of our own items in this field, help to interpret Canmore records, and enable cross-walks between types used in other schemes, to and from the Canmore types.
