Motivation[edit]

The PlayStation DataCenter (Q76662103) is a database of 8712 video game (Q7889) published on the PlayStation (Q10677) (also on PlayStation Portable (Q170325) & PlayStation 2 (Q10680), but with less success there). Their data model is one entry per release − ie per region (PAL/NTSC-U/NTSC-J), language version (in PAL) and reeditions (budget ranges), hence more than one entry per Q7889 item.

Their identifer scheme piggy-backs on the PlayStation ID (P2606) ; however there is no easy way to generate URLs just from it. That and the different URL scheme used for PS2 and PSP games leads to use the URL datatype.
