optional instruments[edit]

Hi Robertgarrigos, as https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata_talk:WikiProject_Music/Archive/2017 is archived I will answer here :) .

I think we actually have a property to use for optional instruments, now: nature of statement (P5102) with optional (Q59864995) (this did not exist back in 2017, as I remember). I just added this statement to Violin Sonatas, KV 10-15 (Q3070598) (see Q3070598#P870). What do you think of it? Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 16:05, 25 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi @Valentina.Anitnelav, yes, it does the job. I'll add it to the Lied model. Thanks! Robertgarrigos (talk) 16:38, 25 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Possible mistake by RobertgarrigosBOT?[edit]

Dear Robertgarrigos, I just noticed this edit made by User:RobertgarrigosBOT and I think it may be a mistake. Q43294837 is a chemist; of course, it's entirely possibly he also makes music, but I thought that maybe you should double-check this edit. Thanks! :) Fivetonsofflax (talk) 08:11, 11 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks. I'll double check. Robertgarrigos (talk) 09:03, 11 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Robert Garrigós ?[edit]

Hello, I'm Eihel, and welcome to Wikidata! Based on your username, it looks like you are performing paid editing. That's okay—however, the terms of use require you to disclose this. You can do so on your user page. Thanks!  Eihel (talk) 11:27, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi @Eihel, why do you think I'm doing paid editing? I am not. Robertgarrigos (talk) 11:29, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hello Robertgarrigos Hello Are you Robert Garrigós i Castro that we can see at https://www.musicsperlacobla.cat/compositor.php?autor_id=1787 ? You are asking for the creation of properties where you seem to be listed. Cordially. ―Eihel (talk) 11:35, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I am an enthusiast of sardanes, among other types of music (I'm also coordinating Wikidata:Wikiproject Lieder), that's why I want to make the Sardanes available in Wikidata. And yes, I composed ONE Sardana some 35 years ago (I even didn't know I was listed there) but this doesn't mean I'm getting paid for editing at WikiData. Robertgarrigos (talk) 11:42, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It seems to me that the template posed above is not quite exact: you can edit, but must declare your affiliation in your personal page, as stipulated in foundation:Special:MyLanguage/Terms of Use. This way, other people can verify that your edits are neutral. The term "paid" is very broad here. Cordially. ―Eihel (talk) 11:53, 15 November 2022 (UTC) ps. specific page: https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Terms_of_Use/en#4._Refraining_from_Certain_Activities . ―Eihel (talk) 12:02, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks. Just doing it now. Robertgarrigos (talk) 11:54, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
