list of The Simpsons characters[edit]

Hello Juan Toño, thank you for your work on The Simpsons (Q886). I see that you also added a lot of characters (P674)-statements to list of The Simpsons characters (Q267149). This is not correct as characters (P674) is intended to list the characters appearing in a certain work (as you did correctly with The Simpsons (Q886)). list of The Simpsons characters (Q267149) does not represent a work but a wikimedia-list. Thatswhy I restored the version before your edits. You can see an automically generated list of simpsons characters in reasonator. It is based on list of The Simpsons characters (Q267149) and the values of is a list of (P360) there. - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 07:58, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Valentina!
Thanks for your advice, I didn't know that.

Hi --Jura
What do you mean with external references?
I am doing the import from manually, how I can optimize that?

  • I'm not sure what the use would be. An external reference would be an actual reference supporting the claim. Help:Sources explains how to add them. That at some point the data was imported from Wikipedia isn't helping much (IMO). --- Jura 18:16, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Okey, I already understand you Jura
I find the import from Wikipedia project as a reference to support the info.
For me the external reference is good, but sometimes the references in Wikipedia are the same used in Wikidata. And then we fall in a loop between "Imported from" and external.
It would be nice structure all the wikipedia projects references in Wikidata and only add them using an id per reference block or other similar idea.
Best regards

Capitalization[edit]

Hello, JuanToño. Take a note that items' descriptions "begin with a lowercase letter except when uppercase would normally be required or expected. Essentially, you should pretend that the description is appearing in the middle of a normal sentence, and then follow normal language rules" (see Help:Description#Capitalization). Unfortunately, your latest edits are contrary to this Wikidata policy: [1], [2] --Russian Rocky (talk) 16:44, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
