Hi Pmt,
I'm just going through Wikidata:WikiProject Lighthouses/reports/lighthouses by country/TBD
I was wondering if you know where Q37171269 is located. A few more statements could help. The name itself doesn't seem to help.

Hello again. I am a little bit busy now, but wil be back on the issue on Wednesday. Breg
@Jura1: Sorry for my late answer. Q37171269 Was intended to describe the Approach lighthuses in Norway. There is described four types who should be a subclass of (P279) of lighthouse (Q39715). The types would be ''Lead lighthouse'', ''Approach lighthouse", "Costal lighthouse" and "Fishery lighthouse". In retrospective I can see that I should hav used P279 and not P31 of Q39715. I you have any comments to this I would be pleased to have them.
No urgency ..
Sounds good. I changed it from P31 to P279. This will remove it from Wikidata:WikiProject Lighthouses/reports/lighthouses by country/TBD.
In general, maybe some of these functional descriptions could go into uses (P2283), but we haven't discussed much of it on Wikidata talk:WikiProject Lighthouses. "fyr" is that "light" or "lighthouse"?
"fyr" is that "light" or "lighthouse"? Thats a problem on norwegian Wikipedia. A fyr is a lighthouse that should be the Tower itself With lense and forg horn and radar beacon.
But the articles in NOWP covers the lighthouse stations in general. So it includes buildings for the lighthouse personels and the Place where the station is loatet so Bjørnsund Lighthouse (Q879885)should be Bjørnsund ligthouse station who is the official name in English. so maybe the name at least in wikidata should be corrected accordingly (?) Its a job and is it worth doing it?
I had in mind items like Q37171269 or "approach light" which aren't necessarily lighthouses. If it's just called "light" it isn't subclass of lighthouses.
In regards to your question, at https://tools.wmflabs.org/reasonator/?q=Q7637054&lang=en I came across one where several parts had items (due to the way the building is listed). I added these with "has part" to the main item.
@Jura1: Good Morning! Yes I fully understand what you mean. There are plenty of small ligths for approaching harbours witch clearly is not a subclass of lighthouses.
But in addition we also have sector lights (Q787078) that is categorised as subclass of ligthouses, should that be changed? Breg
@Jura1: Nice. Thank you! I have another question regardingthe same. It is vice to change all Norwegian lighthouses from instance of (P31) lighthouse (Q39715) to subclass of (P279) of costal lighthouse (Q30448674) or lead lighthouse (Q43266387) or approach lighthouse (Q37171269) (the last one if useable).
or will that just create a mess in pages like Wikidata:WikiProject Lighthouses/lists/lighthouses by country/Norway? Breg
Maybe uses (P2283) could do instead? Personally, I'd rather not. I think the dataset is easier to use if there aren't too many different P31.
Maybe you want to ask User:Lymantria, as he is much more active on lighthouses.
Ok, I will await User:Lymantria. But will test a little bit with a Listeriabot on my NOWP for an hour. Breg
Why, Pmt, would you have a Norwegian lighthouse as subclass of (P279) of for instance costal lighthouse (Q30448674) and not instance of (P31)? I agree with Jura that I would prefer not to have too many different instance of (P31).
@Lymantria: Thank you for the answer. I am trying to get the best solution (and learn) Can you give me an example on i.e Alnes Lighthouse (Q773792) contra Kvitholmen Lighthouse (Q911813). Breg
I have changed Alnes Lighthouse (Q773792) in a way that I think is better understandable internationally, as approach lighthouse (Q37171269) is not known internationally.
God morning and thank you! I will change other Norwegian accordingly. What about the list for Norwegian lighthouses on the Wikidata Project?
