Conflation[edit]
Hi @Bender235: Krause is like Smith and you've merge to very different persons:
- Egon Krause (born 1933), German teacher = Q95338673
- Egon Krause (no year of birth given), Ph.D. New York University 1966 = Q102228705
One is a literary scholar, the other a mathematician mechanical engineer. @Epìdosis: After the clean up I will look at GND 133981290. Of the 14 publications, several appear to be by other authors. --Kolja21 (talk) 02:12, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- Same name, same year of birth, same year doctor thesis, but different persons:
- Q95338673 (GND 133981290) was created for the a literary scholar (Ph.D. University of Münster 1966; DNB 481624392).
- Q102228705 (GND 173740642) was created for a mechanical engineer (Ph.D. New York University 1966). German: "Univ.-Prof. em. Prof. h.c. Egon Krause war Direktor am Aerodynamischen Institut der RWTH Aachen und lehrte hier Strömungslehre [fluid mechanics]." [1]

- "Same name, same year of birth, same year doctor thesis, but different persons". That's one in a billion, isn't it? Thanks for catching that, though. --Bender235 (talk) 04:00, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Kolja21: thanks for finding this case, I have unmerged and fixed the incoming links. --Epìdosis 09:23, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
