Is P9984's format regex really \d{18}?[edit]

Or is it more something like 981(0|1)\d{9}06706?

Why the question? The old identifier CANTIC ID (former scheme) (P1273) will be replaced with the new identifier CANTIC ID (P9984) in w:Module:Authority control of the English-language Wikipedia. Because even trivial editing in Module:Authority control might cause substantial load on the servers, the format regex should be fix (at least for the next 2 years). — Luamssuk (talk) 09:54, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Luamssuk: I implemented 981(0|1)\d{9}06706, it works well. Considering also Property:P7293#P1793, I think it is probable that it can suite for a significant time. --Epìdosis 12:10, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
