Welcome | Description Recommendations | 50+ Ways to Get Started | Recommended Tools | SPARQL Queries |
The Archives and Linked Data Interest Group is composed of archivists, archives data specialists, and programmers/data experts exploring pragmatic approaches to publishing linked data. Although the group actively met from 2017-2019, the WikiProject remains a place for organizing and sharing useful resources and a potential site of future work.
Aim and Scope[edit]
The purpose of this WikiProject is to provide a place to draft and share resources and recommendations for using Wikidata as a platform to publish or enrich archival data.
Interest Group Background[edit]
The group includes committers to the ArchivesSpace (Q93439967) software project and has previously extended Schema.org for archival organizations and materials. Based on international archival content standards, the group has developed a draft recommendation for creating and enhancing Wikidata records about archival repositories, archival collections, and the people and organizations who created these collections.
