Task/s: Improve task 5: add instance of (P31), heritage designation (P1435) and messes.info Catholic church ID (P1644) and fix labels and descriptions for places of worship.
Code: PyWikiBot
Function details: With task 5, my bot adds country (P17), image (P18), located in the administrative territorial entity (P131), Commons category (P373), Mérimée ID (P380) and coordinate location (P625) for places of worship in France. I want to extend this task to add three more properties to items about places of worship: instance of (P31), heritage designation (P1435) and messes.info Catholic church ID (P1644):
- instance of (P31) is based on the article name on the French Wikipedia and the values added will be among church building (Q16970), minor basilica (Q120560), cathedral (Q2977), synagogue (Q34627), mosque (Q32815), chapel (Q108325), temple (Q44539), abbey church (Q334383), pagoda (Q199451), cemetery (Q39614), abbey (Q160742), priory (Q2750108), collegiate church (Q1509716), pro-cathedral (Q1649060), convent (Q1128397) and maybe others later;
- heritage designation (P1435) is based on template data collected from the French Wikipedia and will be either monument historique inscrit (Q10387575) or classified historical monument (Q10387684), when appropriate;
- messes.info Catholic church ID (P1644) is based on data from http://egliseinfo.catholique.fr/api-docs/ ; I have a correspondence between Wikidata elements and EgliseInfo IDs cached in a local file.
I would also like to correct the French label (typically lowercase the first letter: Église -> église), add the French description when it is missing and same for the English labels. Sometimes, the Wikidata item was created by linking the Commons category to a Wikipedia article. In this case, the English label begins with "Category:" which is wrong and the description is often missing. I propose to fix this too.
I am currently working on places of worship in France, on information gathered on the French Wikipedia. I would like to extend this in a close future to gather information about places of worship in all countries from several Wikipedias and import it on Wikidata.
As a proof that it works, please see the 8 latest edits of Peter17-Bot on église Saint-Rieul de Brenouille (Q18643401).
Thanks in advance. Best regards.
