KarlWettinWMSE-bot[edit]
KarlWettinWMSE-bot (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools)

Task/s: This is a general purpose account for multiple future bots. Typical use is import and synchronization of CC0-licensed data from Swedish government sources.
Code: Not yet published. Work in progress.
Function details: Initial task is to import to Commons and WikiData from Naturvårdsverket (Swedish Environmental Protection Agency) containing nature reserves, national parks, items in nature with preservation clauses (historical trees, stones and what not), etc. Some of this data is already available from previous imports but are lacking geoshapes in Commons:Data. Many values have been updated should be diffed and updated at WikiData.
Generally it will initially be a single import and will then be manually triggered to run again whenever the source data has been updated.
In bursts updates up to perhaps one every second? I can of course limit this.
Current project is a Java-bot as it relies on a bit on the JTS GIS-libraries. --Karl Wettin (WMSE) (talk) 18:17, 7 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- Please perform some test edits. Lymantria (talk) 09:41, 15 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- The number of test edits is not high, but they look good to me. Your bot did multiple edits to one item, can they be taken together? Lymantria (talk) 13:51, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- There is plenty of edits now. We've had a bit of feedback from the community too and fixed those issues. There was a short burst of edits today 2020-04-10 at around 14:50 to clean up an error caused by the bot. As for multiple edits on the same item, it should only be one edit per item except for when creating new items which is split up in two to share the same code: 1. creation with nvrid;instance of;labels;description, 2. delta evaluation.
