Task/s: add Dhliz ID (P12696) for persons/films/TV series that exist in Dhliz (Q125594802) database
Code: not yet implemented
Function details: The bot will regularly add Dhliz ID (P12696) for persons/films/TV series found in Dhliz (Q125594802) database, starting with a batch update of over 5000 entries for items already in Wikidata. Afterwards, we will be making smaller regular updates (e.g., monthly) for new Wikidata items for which a Dhliz page (and ID) exist. I am one of the Dhliz project owners, and so I have access to Dhliz database which allows me to produce and validate a list of qualifying Wikidata items mapped to Dhliz IDs to be used by the bot script.

- how are you doing the matching between the two databases? by hand? if so this is fine but probably doesn't need bot approval. BrokenSegue (talk) 15:30, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks @BrokenSegue! The process on our side is as follows:
- - [done for humans] Query Wikidata for a list of humans, films, TV series satisfying a custom filter (have other movie database IDs assigned, originating in Arab countries, etc)
- - [done for humans] Query Dhliz for entities carrying the same name and generate a CSV list of Wikidata QID, Arabic name (same in both sources), Dhliz ID
- - [in progress] Manually validate the mapping by Dhliz team members
- - [pending] Use the validated results to add Dhliz ID property to all entities on Wikidata which don't already have it set
