Motivation
This was rejected a while ago (discussion). However, by now there are lots of non-person items in Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek (Q621630), so GND ID (P227) is no longer sufficient to link to DDB items. While quite a few of the stored items are available from the delivering institutions directly, DDB as the national digital library provides a unified, reliable, well-documented API to them. --Cirdan (talk) 23:14, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
