Fascist Latin Texts author ID[edit]

Originally proposed at Wikidata:Property proposal/Person

DescriptionThe Fascist Latin Texts aims at making available Latin texts on subjects relating to Fascism and written under Mussolini's regime (1922–1943). It is the fruit of a collaboration between the University of Oslo and the University of Groningen. Each author listed in the database gets their own record with biographical and bibliographical information and a unique identifier. The Wikidata property would consist in the unique ID of the author as used by the database. (1) – (Please translate this into English.)

Motivatie[edit]

Since not much research has been done on the Latin literary activity in Fascist Italy, these links can provide information not found elsewhere (and access to the full-text of the Latin works written by these authors). They will nicely complement the information drawn from VIAF and various libraries, who might hold the Latin works of these authors. Fascist Latin Texts is an ongoing project, so regular updates will be necessary to include newly added authors, but at least the IDs are expected to remain stable.
