Motivation[edit]

The Curran Index (Q60672267), a continuation of the Wellesley Index, is a useful identifier for authors, since it links to a list of works that Curran Index attributes to them and a brief bio, with sometimes discussion of their authorship. What's more, they have index entries for a number of unidentified contributors such as someone known only as "Mrs. Taylor" (example 5 above). It may be necessary to create an item for that author if they have a page on Wikisource, as Mrs. Taylor does; adding the Curran ID makes the item more distinct and useful. Examples 4 and 5 above show how I've gone about creating items for unidentified authors in the past. Levana Taylor (talk) 00:40, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
