Motivation[edit]
Store the external ID for each BFO class (Q124711104). Basic Formal Ontology (Q4866972) is a top level ontology and can help to classify top level classes in Wikidata.
A list of some of the classes is available at Wikidata:WikiProject Ontology/BFO. Currently it is difficult to create queries related to the BFO classes. Having a dedicatd property will allow using the standard tools for properties, creating constraint violations, programming SPARQL queries easily. Currently BFO classes have a statement "exact match" linking to the external URL, but for other ontologies this is done via "eqivalent class" and for further others via external ID.
