Motivation[edit]

Looking to increase the amount of open data available about memorials to women in Scotland. I've been doing some work with the Open Plaques database, particularly on Glasgow, on this account, and there are some parallels. In my role as user:Sara Thomas (WMUK) I'm working with a student intern, whose work is now, due to COVID-19, going to be all remote. They identified the Mapping Memorials project as one they'd like to work on, and it seems like a good opportunity to improve the representation of women in the wikiprojects.
