Motivation[edit]
Notified participants of WikiProject Video games
Oculus Quest/Rift/Go/Gear VR stores are the main digital distribution platforms for Oculus virtual reality headsets. Please note that these are separate stores and are categorized by VR headset models accordingly. Regards Kirilloparma (talk) 03:58, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

- Comment @Kirilloparma: Thinking aloud here − do we need 4 IDs here, or should we have only one “Oculus experience/game ID” with as value
gear-vr/1489708541098941
andquest/3647259232032222
etc. ? Jean-Fred (talk) 12:02, 11 September 2022 (UTC)- I agree with this. Future-proofing too. AntisocialRyan (Talk) 14:24, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Jean-Frédéric: To be honest, I thought about this idea too. On the one hand, we have a clean numeric identifier that can be used (it would seem ideal, right?), but on the other hand, this identifier cannot be used without a VR model prefix and there is no way to get rid of it (already tried). That is why it was proposed to divide by 4 potential properties, which is really a lot ... After a little thought, I would not mind using a prefix in the identifier, however, it will be necessary to indicate what kind of store it is, examples:
- Example 1: Superhot VR (Q76430527)

- At this point, I would also rename the property to simply Oculus Store ID, as in addition to video games, this website also has VR applications. Regards Kirilloparma (talk) 21:31, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- There are a lot of properties that use this approach, so don't be ashamed AntisocialRyan (Talk) 22:58, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- Merged into one proposal. Regards Kirilloparma (talk) 23:04, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

- @Kirilloparma, AntisocialRyan, Floyd-out, Laftp0, Sir Lothar: Done as Meta Store ID (P11088). Jean-Fred (talk) 13:10, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
