Problems
- You will be able to read but not to edit the wikis for up to an hour on October 27 around 14:00 (UTC). It will probably be shorter than an hour. [1]
- Last week, links to "diffs" from mobile watchlists and recentchanges were linking to page-revisions instead of diffs. This has now been fixed. [2]

- There is no new MediaWiki version this week.
Future changes
- Since the introduction of the interface administrators user group in 2018, administrators couldn’t view the deleted history of CSS/JS pages. Now they can. [3]
- There was a problem with the Change Tags. The software would apply the "Reverted" tag to any page actions such as page-protection changes if they came directly after a reverted edit. This has now been fixed for new edits. [4]
- The Reply tool will be offered as an opt-in Beta Feature on most Wikipedias in November. Another announcement will be made once the date is finalized. [5]

India-specific properties datathon
Greetings Jura1/D/118/D/1aruJ:klat resU!
As part of Wikidata's 8th birthday celebration a 5 days long India-specific properties datathon from October 25, 2020, 00:00 to October 29, 2020, 23:59 (both times Indian Standard Time) being organised to improve India-specific properties and celebrate Wikidata's Birthday by contributing to the free open data movement. Currently there are 76 India-specific properties available in Wikidata. The primary objective of this datathon is to add / improve the usage of Wikidata Properties related to India in Wikidata.

Property constraints portal/Value label
Good morning! I am reading Help:Property constraints portal/Value label. Having a look at the example I can see that Bokmål (Q25167) have a questionmark, can you explain the purpose of that. As an sidetrack, for both Bokmål and Nynorsk (Q25164) it is also possible to add an owner preposition, and thereby write Norge sin økonomi bm, or Noreg sin økonomi in addition to the genetiv case Norges økonomi bm Noregs økonomi nn. But thats grammar and I suppose that not the matter here :=) An iterresting matter you are bringing up. Breg Pmt (talk) 09:40, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi @Pmt:. Thanks for your feedback. "?" in a regex would mean that what precedes it is optional. When I added the regex I mostly tried to describe what is there. Feel free to change it to ".+ økonomi" if that describes it better. I don't want to change the labels to something a native speaker wouldn't find helpful, but you probably noticed that a large number of labels could be improved [6].
